Day in Review: April 13, 2015

Today featured signings and re-signings.

1. WR Michael Crabtree signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders today giving QB Derek Carr another option in the passing game. Crabtree spent all of his first 6 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

2. CB Zack Bowman signed with the Miami Dolphins today to backup CB Brent Grimes. Bowman spent last season with the New York Giants and the previous 6 with the Chicago Bears.

3. The San Diego Chargers will be hosting QB Marcus Mariota (Oregon) for a pre-draft workout. If the Chargers want to draft him they will likely need to trade up in the draft to compete with the Eagles and the Jets.

4. WR Greg Jennings visited the Jacksonville Jaguars today. Both Jennings and the Jags have been unimpressive the past two years. Jennings was with the Minnesota Vikings for the past two seasons and played with the Green Bay Packers for 7 seasons before that.

5. WR Hakeem Nicks visited the Tennessee Titans today. Nicks spent the previous season with the Indianapolis Colts and the previous 5 seasons with the New York Giants. (If it weren’t for Odell Beckham I would probably still miss him.)

6. The Detroit Lions contested the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offer sheet for DE George Johnson and the Green Bay Packers contested the Oakland Raiders’ offer sheet for S Sean Richardson.

7. Staying in Green Bay for the last piece of news for the day: FB John Kuhn re-signed with the Pack on a one-year deal worth $870,000. Kuhn has spent the past 8 seasons in Green Bay after one year with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That’s all for TheHaysWay today, have a pleasant tomorrow.
