Day in Review: May 11, 2015

It’s a happy day when the Patriots get rightfully punished :):

1. The New England Patriots have now received their punishment for “Deflategate”. And the punishment is…QB Tom Brady will be suspended for the first four games of this NFL season without pay, the team has been fined $1 million, the team lost their fourth round draft pick in the 2017 draft and…(drum roll please)…the team loses their first round pick in the 2016 draft. Everyone involved with the Patriots calls the punishment “ridiculous” but you know what I say? I say the fact that you are wiling to cheat to win is ridiculous. And not only that but Brady said: a) That he wasn’t involved with the scandal. (For those of you following along at home, that was a LIE!) and b) That the victory wasn’t tainted by the fact that they CHEATED! Brady is as dirty as Ndamukong in my book for the fact that he is willing to cheat to win, maybe even dirtier. So Pats, you can stop talking about the punishment being “ridiculous” when you learn what integrity means and when you start playing like every other team in the NFL: HARDWORKING!

2. The Houston Texans released S D.J. Swearinger today. Swearinger was a second round pick in 2013 and spent both of the past two seasons with the Texans.

3. The New England Patriots cut CB Kyle Arrington today. This is the second cut they made in their secondary in the past month and the probably got rid of him because he didn’t fit the Pats’ mold of being a CHEATER! Arrington spent the past six seasons with the Pats and the previous one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

4. The New England Patriots signed TE Fred Davis today. Davis was just reinstated by the NFL after getting suspended for substance abuse. Davis does fit the Patriot mold of being a lousy person, but whether he fits the mold of being a CHEATER remains to be seen.

5. The Cleveland Browns signed NT Danny Shelton today. Shelton was the 12th overall pick in this year’s NFL draft.

6. Also signing his rookie deal today was Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman. Perriman was the 26th overall pick in this year’s NFL draft.

That’s all for TheHaysWay today, have a pleasant tomorrow and don’t cheat like the Patriots.
