Daily Update: May 17, 2016

“We all have big changes in our life that are more or less a second chance.” -Harrison Ford, Actor (Han Solo, Indiana Jones, etc)

Today’s theme is second chances. First chances rarely go well because people don’t know what to expect going into a first chance at anything. So I encourage everybody to actively seek out second chances, and I also encourage everybody to give second chances. Most people deserve second chances. Also, I HIGHLY encourage you readers to watch the show depicted in the daily clip. The concept is great and the casting is well done as well. Now, the second chance as part of today’s news:

  1. The San Diego Chargers have signed QB Zach Mettenberger. Mettenberger was just released yesterday by the Tennessee Titans. He will be reunited with Ken Whisenhunt, the coach who drafted him, and he actually may have a shot at being QB Philip Rivers’ heir.
  2. The St Louis Rams have signed DT Dominique Easley. Easley was released by the Pats last month for injury and attitude issues. He figures to sit behind DT Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers.
  3. The Washington Redskins have released WR Andre Roberts. The team drafted WR Josh Doctson in the first round to team up with WRs DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. The move is good news for Garcon, who now has a better chance of keeping his job following speculation that he would be pushed out by the young players. The Redskins also have talented, second-year WR Jamison Crowder.

That’s all for TheHaysWay today, make sure to leave a comment on the quote and/or the news, and a like would be much appreciated, as always. Have a pleasant tomorrow.
